Tôm khô ngâm nước ấm cho mềm khoảng 15 phút, rửa sạch rồi vớt ra, để ráo.
Nấm đông cô ngâm mềm, rửa sạch, bỏ phần cuống cứng, cắt nhỏ.
Làm nóng 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn. Cho 2 muỗng cà phê tỏi băm vào, phi thơm. Sau đó cho bí đỏ vào xào chung.
Thêm gạo vào, xào cho đến khi hạt gạo săn lại.
Khi gạo đã săn, cho tôm khô và nấm đông cô vào đảo đều. Nêm 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng canh hạt nêm, 1/2 muỗng cà phê tiêu.
Cho nước vào xâm xấp mặt gạo, đậy nắp lại, hạ lửa nhỏ. Nấu cho đến khi cạn nước thì mở nắp, đảo cơm cho đều gia vị rồi lại đậy nắp, nấu thêm 5-7 phút nữa thì tắt bếp.
